show notes
hey bestie!
as someone who loves to read romance and fantasy and “roman-tasy” books, i was still shocked as to how romance is the highest earning genre. and I wanted to ask why? like why????
and this episode answers that question.
it’s not completely critical of romance as a genre. after all, women are its main consumers so there must be a good reason why we love it… but as with everything, balance is needed.
the episode isn’t anti-romance. it isn’t necessarily pro-romance either. All in all, i’m definitely going to be more mindful of my romance consumption after this one.
